About Me.
Annie Rutledge, MT-BC, NMT, is the founder of Annie Rutledge Music Therapy Services. Annie received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University. She completed her clinical internship with Park Nicollet Health Services in Minneapolis, MN, working with adults in home hospice care, outpatient oncology, and inpatient medical settings. She became a Board Certified Music Therapist in 2024 and shortly after completed Neurologic Music Therapy training. Prior to beginning Annie Rutledge Music Therapy Services, she collaborated in starting a music therapy program for a school district and provided music therapy services for students with various disabilities.
Annie started playing music at the age of six when she began violin lessons. She quickly fell in love with the violin and trained in both classical and fiddle styles. She continued her training in violin through college and was a member of the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra for four years.
Outside of music therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors, staying active, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
